The Government of Uganda has distributed vehicles and motorcycles to districts under the Uganda Climate Smart Agricultural Transformation Project (UCSATP), in a bid to strengthen agricultural extension services and improve support to farmers.
The handover ceremony at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds was officiated by Vice President Jessica Alupo, alongside Agriculture Minister Frank Tumwebaze and other senior officials.
Mr. Tumwebaze noted that the new equipment is aimed at addressing long-standing challenges in extension services, particularly the limited mobility of frontline workers, thereby enhancing their ability to effectively reach and support farming communities.
