The Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) Board, led by Director General Robert Mukiza, has inspected ongoing infrastructure works at the 2,200-acre Kampala Industrial and Business Park (KIBP) in Namanve, a key project in Ugandaโs industrialisation agenda.
The June 4, 2026 visit highlighted progress on roads, power networks, fibre-optic connectivity, CCTV systems, and SME facilities. Supported by the Government of Uganda, UK Export Finance, and Standard Chartered Bank, the project is being implemented by Lagan Group and DOTT Services Ltd.
As Ugandaโs flagship industrial park, KIBP is expected to lower business costs, attract investment, and streamline services through a one-stop centre. More than 300 local and international firms have already expressed interest in establishing operations there.
With infrastructure rapidly advancing, Namanve is emerging as a symbol of Ugandaโs commitment to job creation, export growth, and sustainable economic transformation.
