𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮’𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲

H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to preside over the official launch of the NARO Anti-tick Vaccine, alongside the commissioning of a state-of-the-art production facility at the National Livestock Resources Research Institute in Nakyesasa Village along the Gayaza–Zirobwe Road.

The breakthrough vaccine, developed by National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO), marks a major milestone in Uganda’s efforts to combat tick-borne diseases that have long affected livestock productivity and farmers’ livelihoods.

The new production facility is expected to boost local manufacturing capacity, ensuring wider access to the vaccine while reducing reliance on imports. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening agricultural research, improving animal health, and supporting the country’s livestock sector.

The launch represents a significant step toward sustainable agriculture and economic resilience, particularly for rural communities that depend heavily on livestock farming.
